Well, if you have read any of my blog posts, you may have gathered that I am a fan of Godzilla, Ultraman and other Japanese live action movies and television shows. But, that's just a few of the pastimes that I truly enjoy.
Been a fan of this big monster since I was 8 years old. It was a rainy saturday afternoon when I had seen my first Godzilla movie on television. It was "Godzilla: King Of The Monsters". Yes, the old black and white 1956 movie (originally released in Japan in 1954 as "Godzilla") dubbed into english with the extra scenes filmed and added starring Raymond Burr as Steve Martin. Since seeing that movie as a kid, I was hooked on Godzilla. As years passed, other Godzilla movies were show on television and I would watch them. Each movie, made me crave more Godzilla. Many years later, more Godzilla movies were made (Heisei series 1984-1995) and I watched them and was impressed at how far along they had come. Over the years, I started collection Godzilla toys and stuff from Japan (I also collected the Trendmasters Godzilla toys as well).
I remember watching reruns of "Ultraman" as a kid. It used to air in the afternoon by the time I got home school. The show (originally released back in 1966) used to come on one of our local tv stations back when I was in elementary school.
There were other shows from Japan that were aired on local tv that I liked such as Johnny Socko and His Flying Robot (originally released in Japan as "Jaianto Robo" and ran from 1967-1968), Space Giants (originally released in Japan as "Magma Taishi" and ran from 1966-1967).
I have always enjoyed listening to heavy metal and hard rock music. I remember my older sister had an AC/DC album I would listen to and enjoy. Years passed and I found myself liking heavy metal music over any form of music. Not that other forms of music aren't enjoyable, I just prefer metal.
I started playing guitar years ago. I just love the sound of an electric guitar. I love playing one. I am by no means a master at it (Randy Rhodes, Eddie Van Halen, Chuck Schuldiner, etc) but love playing it.
I also enjoy running radio controlled cars and trucks. I used to race short course rc but now I mostly run one here and there for fun. It's a great hobby.
Last, but not least..
Got my first home computer back in 1997. Since then, I have enjoyed using one to look up cool stuff like I mentioned above, checking my bank, paying bills, etc. Over time, I learned how to code webpages, replace pc parts and so on. The last couple of years I changed OS's (operating systems). I went from Microsoft Windows to Ubuntu (one of the various distributions of Linux).
Well, I believe I got that all covered.
