X-Men Black : Magneto #1 Review

October 2, 2019 - Reading time: ~1 minute

It has been some time since I have picked up any of X-Men/X-Men related comics. While out one day, I saw this issue and picked it up. Here is my two cents..

Released back in October 2018.

The story is good. Could have been better if politics were left out. Many Politically Correct terms used in it. Would I recommend this comic.. yes, yes I would.

Here is a quick summary of this issue:

We see Magneto in a diner in the middle of nowhere, he meets a young waitress named Kate and gets into an altercation with some ignorant locals. All the while, a news report on the TV behind them tells of the Office of National Emergency establishing three detention centers across the country in which young mutants will be held for "processing." (very similiar to the facilities in which the illegal aliens are belong kept when they are caught crossing the border and are referred to as concentration camps)

With Magneto knowing what it was like being in a prison camp, he makes a decision to act on his beliefs.
